The EuroTier innovation ‘Multi-Farm’ from WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp is a web- and app-based management platform which, via a universal API interface, brings together the process computers of several farm sites – including those geographically separated – into a single, cloud-based user interface.
Real-time consolidation of all data streams
Until now, managing multiple sites has required either visiting the farms in person or the laborious process of logging into various local farm computers separately via different programmes. To carry out comparisons, for example, data had to be manually transferred to Excel spreadsheets or analysed by external software providers. The EuroTier innovation, Multi-Farm, now breaks down these data silos and consolidates all data streams in real time. This makes it possible to compare sites directly with one another, enabling the mobile remote control of entire farm complexes via a single app.

Control adjustments at the click of a button from the app
Farm managers can monitor all their farms, and an intuitive traffic-light system immediately indicates the status of each site: red indicates an urgent need for action – for example, due to a technical fault or abnormal animal behaviour. A single click on the affected site opens a summary screen displaying the key performance indicators and the current status. Critical faults or control adjustments can be rectified directly from within the app with a single click, without the need to switch to other systems. The app offers comprehensive monitoring and a direct comparison of feed consumption compared with the previous day, the animals’ feeding times compared with the previous day, water intake compared with the previous day, silo fill levels and consumption trends. All operational data is stored securely in the cloud over the long term.
Key features and benefits at a glance
- Precise nutrient reduction: Direct site-by-site comparison allows feeding to be precisely tailored to the animals’ actual feed conversion. An optimised feed curve leads to better nutrient utilisation by the animals. This drastically reduces the nutrient surplus – particularly nitrogen and phosphorus – in the slurry, thereby protecting the environment.
- Benchmarking for farm optimisation: By directly comparing farms with one another, best-practice methods can be quickly identified and applied to other sites.
- Early detection of disease outbreaks or technical faults through automatic deviation alerts for feed and water intake.
- Enormous time savings and flexibility for farm managers and staff, as routine monitoring can be carried out in a matter of seconds via a smartphone, regardless of location.
